Back in 2012, our pal Robert Dennis had the idea of asking Georgia to play a solo electric guitar set on a Lower East Side rooftop. Georgia gave herself the nom de guitar, Little Black Egg, and James recorded one of her rehearsals in our practice space. The result, entitled “Buzzard’s Bed," was released as a one-sided lp on our Egon Records in an edition of 500, long out of print. At the time I described the 19-minute piece as “beautiful and haunting,” and I feel the same way today. But now there’s no longer the need to take my word for it.
